IT’S SKIN Snail moisture mask sheet review

Hi everyone!

I just started university last week and it was… quite different from what high school had to offer but I’m starting to get the hang of balancing out my workload with other commitments so this means I’m back to posting regularly!

Check out my previous blogpost on TONY MOLY sheet masks here: https://yuemily.wordpress.com/2016/03/13/tony-moly-sheet-mask-reviews/

Skin care products containing snail mucus and other nutrients became a huge trend in Korean cosmetics a year or two back, with snail bb cream proving to be a popular item.

I purchased this for $2.24 AUD, along with a few other sheet masks from W Cosmetics in Hurstville (They stock mostly TonyMoly sheet face masks whereas KimSunYoung at Town Hall sells a larger range including Innisfree, Etude House and skinfood).

It claims: ‘It contains snail secretion filtrate and various kinds of moistures to improve original bright skin and make strengthen skin’

  • Residue: The sheet mask liquid was thicker and more slimy than the other sheet masks I’ve tried so far – though not sure if this feeling was partly attributed to the relatively thicker fabric of the sheet mask.
  • Skin condition: I applied the sheet mask after washing off my makeup.
  • Fragrance: Smells like the majority of Korean sheet face masks, though it has a more neutral undertone.

Overall comments: My skin still feels the same as it would’ve been moisturised straight after my daily cleansing routine – Not sure if this sheet mask requires repetition and constant commitment in order to achieve strong and bright enough skin for the naked eye to detect(Technically, there could be minor positive changes under a microscope).

Would I repurchase? Probably not.

Thanks for reading – any advice/ feedback is greatly appreciated!
