100% Pure cherry lip balm review

Hey guys,

I recently discovered an American brand 100% Pure that creates natural skincare, makeup and nail polish that avoid 5 toxic but commonly used ingredients. I really want to try out their nail polishes in the future but I’m trying out some of their skincare right now and have also purchased their purity hydrating tonique which I’m in the midst of trying it out.

They have an American site, an Australian stockist as well as being sold on Nourished Life which is where I purchased this from (Side note: my Nourished Life package took 3 business days to arrive!)

Check out my last review of the Hurraw coconut lip balm here.

Ingredients

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Cera Alba (Beeswax)*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Prunus Cerasus (Cherry Flavor) Extract*, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract*, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract* *Certified Organic

Overall comments

There’s a strong cherry scent, somewhat reminiscent of kids syrup medicine and although the application is smooth, it’s not as moisturising as the other lipbalms I have tried out so far. Even with several layers, it’s moisturising in the moment but when the hours wear on, it quickly loses its moisture.

If you’re vegan, this is not a vegan friendly product as it contains beeswax.

I would not repurchase this lipbalm in this flavour however, I am willing to try out the other flavours.

Thanks for reading – any advice/feedback is greatly appreciated!

Emily
