BEAUTYBAKERIE Flour setting powder review

Hey guys,

I love BEAUTYBAKERIE’s liquid lipsticks, the Lipwhips so when a free shipping offer came around, I could not pass up the chance to try out their Flour setting powder. It costs $24 USD for 21 grams.

I chose the translucent powder as I never use coloured powders as I’m worried about how the colours will look against my foundation colour on the skin + reduce any cakiness look.

Packaging

I found the packaging to be a bit excessive even though most of the packaging is manufactured from paper and cardboard – luckily the light blue box was sturdy and thus could be reused. I’ve just recently realised how much packaging is used for some items.

The packaging is real cute though.

The ingredient list is short and simple.

Ingredients (sourced from site)

Talc, Zinc Stearate, Magnesium Stearate, CI 77491 (Red Iron Oxide), CI 77492 (Yellow Iron Oxide), CI 77499 (Black Iron Oxide)

Overall comments

I think I have oily/combination skin and I find that my forehead gets quite dry during the Winter and if I apply this to my forehead, it gets really dry and my skin doesn’t like it so I used it mainly on the Tzone and under my eyes and my nose.

During warmer weather, my T zone especially the tip of my nose gets oily quickly and this powder does not save all – however, what I found to be effective was to apply a layer in the morning and then blot once halfway in the day and the oil should stay at bay for the rest of the day.

Also, I found that I received no flashbacks when I was taking photos of my face.

Thanks for reading – any advice/feedback is greatly appreciated!

Emily
