I’m back with a third item from the Isntree’s hyaluronic acid range, their hyaluronic acid toner.
From what I can deduce from their product page (as it is in mostly Korean save for the few infographics), there’s a pH level of about 5, the product is non-irritable and not tested on animals, contains extracts from plants that are known to have moisture retention properties such as aloe.
Price: $25 AUD/ 200ml
I purchased this from the Boniik store in Town Hall, Sydney.
The liquid looked thick in the bottle so I was surprised when it came out as a smooth slightly watery consistency. This reminds me of a watered down version of The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic acid 2% (reviewed here). It has a light scent, hard to compare with other scents in skincare I’ve come across before.
By itself, I find it to be a moisturising toner that doesn’t dry nor swamp the skin – For this toner, I prefer to use it in conjunction with their moisturiser as it is still pretty dry chilly and windy in Sydney – the weather swings have been crazy. Today was an average mid Spring day but the rest of the week is forecast to be the classic Winter temp range.
Overall, the texture is an acquired texture- I still haven’t gotten used to the slippery feeling even a week and so of using this toner. This slippery feeling does take comparatively longer to settle into the skin and when it does there’s no tacky residue left – once again depends on how much you put on. I don’t absolutely love this product nor do I hate it, maybe it’ll take a bit more time for my skin to see effects.
Thanks for reading – any advice/feedback is greatly appreciated!
