I was on the lookout for a new body butter as my skin started to react to the Aesop body butter I was using and I found this from the Boniik store.
Price: $49 AUD
The packaging itself is a simple squeeze tube with a screw cap lip.
The consistency of the body butter would best be described as light but wholesome and buttery. Per recommended in the instructions written on the box, I’ve applied it after washing when my skin is still damp – I often find that the body butter doesn’t apply evenly as the formula is quite ‘stiff’ and less oily compared to a lot of mainstream body butters so I mix it with my hyaluronic gel moisturiser from Isntree as that moisturiser is more aqueous/watery. Review here.
Whilst the formula is up to par with my skin during Sydney Winter, their product and brand transparency is something that should be a standard across all skincare, makeup and fashion brands.
Overall, I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing again as Sydney’s Winter is almost over and I would like to try out different moisturisers as this was not the perfect fit for my skin but I am willing and curious to try other products from Whamisa.
