SKIN by Ecostore Nourishing hand cream review

Hey everyone,

SKIN by Ecostore launched on NourishedLife a few weeks ago and I was in need of a hand cream that was nourishing and this sounded interesting as it contains “new Zealand marine bioactives” so I decided to try it out.

Ecostore is a home and skincare brand, established in 1993 by husband and wife Malcolm and Melanie Rands.  ‘They’d been using sustainable and organic gardening practices on their property for many years but realised they were still being exposed to way too many toxic chemicals through the cleaning and body care products they were using’  Read more here.

At first, this hand cream may seem pricier than the standard handcream tube but this tube is also larger, with a volume of 75ml costing $19.95 AUD from the Nourished Life website. untitled-7851 copy

Overall comments

Previously, with the handcreams I’ve used, they would typically feel thin and almost watery after application, not sure if that’s what they’re meant to do but I wanted a cream with more bulk as I needed to nourish the back of my hands after a day out as I belatedly realised that one of the body parts exposed to the sun frequently without protection are our hands, especially when we are shielding our faces from the sun.

I also use this handcream on my feet, around the heel area as feet tend to be neglected when moisturising after shower. After application and the cream has sunk in and after a night has passed, both the back of my hands and heel area feel more supple instead of feeling dry.

Also, this handcream smells like liquid soap you find in public bathrooms – not a negative aspect if you don’ mind the smell of liquid soap you find in public bathrooms, it’s just a distinct feature of this cream.

Thanks for reading – Let me know what you want me to review next!
